Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all services provided by Mobile Detail Guy. By booking or using our services, you agree to the following terms.


1. Acceptance of Service

By scheduling an appointment with Mobile Detail Guy, the customer agrees to these Terms in full. It is the customer’s responsibility to read and understand this agreement prior to booking.


2. Service Authorization

By booking a service, you authorize Mobile Detail Guy to:

  • Access, move, and operate your vehicle as necessary to perform detailing services

  • Use cleaning chemicals, machines, tools, and equipment required to complete the service

  • Photograph the vehicle before, during, and after service for documentation and marketing purposes (unless otherwise requested in writing)


3. Vehicle Condition & Pre-Existing Damage

  • Customers must disclose any known damage prior to service.

  • Mobile Detail Guy is not responsible for pre-existing scratches, dents, paint defects, loose trim, fragile components, aftermarket modifications, or previously repaired areas.

  • Heavily worn, damaged, or neglected vehicles may carry risk during cleaning or restoration processes.

Mobile Detail Guy reserves the right to refuse or stop service if a vehicle is deemed unsafe or unsuitable for detailing.


4. Results Disclaimer

Detailing is an improvement service, not a repair service. While Mobile Detail Guy aims for the best possible outcome, we do not guarantee:

  • 100% stain, scratch, swirl, or odour removal

  • Permanent correction of defects

  • Exact paint match or restoration on aged finishes

Results vary depending on vehicle condition, age, and maintenance history.


5. Payments

  • Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Deposits may be required to secure bookings with Mobile Detail Guy.

  • Deposits are non-refundable within 24 hours of appointment time.

  • Failure to pay may result in legal recovery action.

Where permitted by law, Mobile Detail Guy reserves the right to retain possession of the vehicle until payment is made in full.


6. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Minimum 24 hours’ notice is required to reschedule.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours may result in deposit forfeiture.

  • No-shows will forfeit their deposit and may be refused future bookings with Mobile Detail Guy.


7. Mobile Service Conditions

As a mobile service provider, Mobile Detail Guy requires:

  • Safe and legal access to the vehicle

  • Adequate working space around the vehicle

  • A safe environment free from hazards

Mobile Detail Guy reserves the right to reschedule due to unsafe weather conditions, including heavy rain, strong winds, or extreme heat.


8. Personal Property

Customers must remove personal belongings prior to service.

Mobile Detail Guy is not responsible for:

  • Loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle

  • Items left in glove boxes, consoles, or storage compartments


9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Liability of Mobile Detail Guy is limited to the amount paid for the service.

  • Mobile Detail Guy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Any claims must be reported within 24 hours of service completion.


10. Ceramic Coatings & Protection Products

Any warranty offered by Mobile Detail Guy on coatings or protection products applies only if:

  • Proper maintenance instructions are followed

  • The vehicle is maintained as advised

  • The product is not damaged due to neglect, automatic car washes, or environmental contamination

Warranty terms may vary by product.


11. Right to Refuse Service

Mobile Detail Guy reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for reasons including but not limited to unsafe conditions, inappropriate behaviour, or unrealistic expectations.


12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
